Our solution, Smartmeny, is simple even though it allows to enter a lot of information for each dish. It is already used by tens of restaurants around the world and it is completely free. Here’s a link to a demo menu.
Smartmeny’s back-end is distributed across several platforms. Most of the REST endpoints are developed in Javascript on a node.js/Express solution hosted on Webtask.io.
Authentication functionality, data storage and notifications are developed using a combination of Firebase and Google cloud functions.
The front-end is developed for the most part in Angular using Typescript with some customizations in vanilla JavaScript.
